Dear All,

The All-Staff Retreat, our annual opportunity to gather our whole staff, was on April 23rd. All  departments and programs have attended. We have explored the roots of why we do what we do, and what why means for our organization. For many of you who have recently joined our agency, it was a good opportunity to learn more about Catholic Charities.

But do you know how many clients we have served last calendar year and how many lives we did touch? According to the survey we submitted to Catholic Charities USA in April, which consists of three very detailed reports, in CY2020 we touched the lives of 24,200 persons across Kentucky. For our colleagues who have been longer with the agency this number might be a surprise. The reason is because we would not include the LTCO or Language Services programs’ numbers in the past as their numbers include the number of beds in long-term facilities LTCO is responsible for and the number of appointments LS has secured for LEP clients. I must mention that 14 staff members have been involved in completing the survey. This fact talks about how much information has been collected.

The three surveys (attached here) include: The Core Survey that provides an overall information about our agency and the functions that support services; The Program Detail Survey that provides details related to programs themselves, and the CLINIC (Catholic Legal Immigration, Inc.) survey that is specific to the Immigration Legal Services.

Please take a moment and review those reports.

Sincerely,

Darko Mihaylovich
Director of Programs

Hello Catholic Charities Staff! Yes, it is evaluation time again!
All Staff are to complete their individual self-evaluations no later than the close of business on Friday, May 21st.

You are also encouraged to complete the online supervisor evaluation (optional) and any other colleague evaluations (optional). All of these resources can be accessed by clicking here.
Supervisors and Directors – I know we have a lot of new staff, so please be sure that everyone on your team is aware of the opportunity to submit colleague and supervisor evaluations. Please be assured that the evals are always completely confidential – and while not required, input is very valuable as we seek to pursue excellence across the agency.

Please note that in Part II of the evaluation, the last two questions are for any of your staff who have supervisory responsibilities. If they do not, these two questions can be omitted.

The Work Plan is a simple document that notes the tasks necessary for staff to complete their goals/objectives. There is no specific agency-wide format so supervisors and staff can generate a document which will be a meaningful tool for their particular programmatic efforts. Based on the nature of the work being performed, it may include time spent, date or service benchmarks, or other metrics that can be referenced throughout the year to monitor progress.

All staff evaluations are due to Human Resources by the COB Friday, June 4th, along with the employees’ work plans. The CCL performance evaluation form you should use is also on the website.

Total Compensation letters will be sent by me no later than the first week of July.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Vetta Johnson, HR Director
